The Project

Situated on 63rd Street and Cottage Grove Avenue is the center of the Woodlawn community – historically, the intersection of one of Chicago's most vibrant retail and cultural corridors.  Revive 6300 will construct a new office and retail building on the site designed to be a vibrant community hub that meets the needs of neighborhood residents and will include a mix of retail, community, and nonprofit commercial space.

Vision

The vision for Revive 6300 is consistent with community goals and objectives as identified through a series of community meetings and outreach efforts, and it is anticipated that the revival will be a gateway to noteworthy development projects in the immediate area.

Design

Designed to be environmentally sustainable, economically viable, and a catalyst for neighborhood revitalization, the transit-oriented and LEED certified building will contain approximately 58,000 leasable square feet including approximately 8,000 square feet of ground floor retail space.  Key project amenities include co-working space, underground parking for approximately 15 cars, and a penthouse community room with rooftop terrace.

Tenants

Revive 6300 be anchored by the YWCA’s co-working and business development center which will serve as a space for south side entrepreneurs, with an emphasis on women of color, to grow their businesses. The University of Chicago’s Office of Civic Engagement plans to operate an extension of its Community Programs Accelerator, which offers supportive services to south side nonprofits and leaders. The balance of the leasable space will be marketed to a mix of commercial retail, professional services, and nonprofit tenants.
